Four panels of fine slats form a semi-transparent boundary. Light passing through is cut into strips, and whatever stands behind appears and disappears by turns.
The walnut is joined in straight grain, and the frame is inlaid with a thin brass line: ink-dark from a distance, touched with gold up close.
It suits the division between a living room and a study, and can also stand at the end of a dining area as a focal point. Slat spacing, thickness and height can all be made to suit the space.
